Safe Working in Education (SWE) - About the Trainers

The Safety in Education course is delivered by two approved trainers

Peter Coulson

Peter CoulsonAs director of Aegis Safety Consultancy, Peter has over 30 years experience in the education sector, and has been providing health and safety training and advisory services to colleges of further and higher education for 16 years. He has worked with Harrow College, Stanmore College, Bromley College, North East Surrey College and Newcastle University teaching hospitals as well as a number of schools.

Peter has Chartered Status of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and his qualifications include the NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and the Royal Society of Health Diploma in Construction Health and Safety Management.

Steve Graham

Steve GrahamWith over 17 years experience, Steve is a director of Essential Health and Safety Limited, a health and safety training and advisory business, providing consultancy and training services to a wide client base. Steve is a member of IOSH and also delivers IOSH Working Safely and IOSH Managing Safely courses to clients in a range of backgrounds including the education sector. He worked for the BT Group of Companies providing health and safety advice and assistance to one of the UK's largest workforces for over a decade.

Steve has Chartered Status of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, and the City and Guilds Certificate in teaching Adult Learners.
