It is an independent and not-for-profit organisation, and it regulates and steers the profession. IOSH maintains standards and provides impartial, authoritative guidance on health and safety issues.
By encouraging, facilitating and lead

communication of good practices and expertise, IOSH aims to promote
awareness of health and safety matters in the workplace and ensure
that high standards are achieved, and maintained.
The Safe Working in Education course is accredited by IOSH, Europe's leading body for health and safety professionals and delivered by approved trainers.
